For its 13th edition, the Jazzablanca festival will be held from April 14th to 22nd.

For its 13th edition, the Jazzablanca festival will be held from April 14th to 22nd. With more than 60% of artists performing for the first time in Morocco, this 2018 edition features 50 concerts spread over four stages and two places (Hippodrome Casa-Anfa and Place des Nations-Unies). The festival president Moulay Ahmed Alami said that jazz will be represented in the village with the presence of living legend Fred Wesley, former trombonist of James Brown, of the Sons of Kemet group led by the saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings, revelation of the London jazz scene, saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Jowee Omicil, Jamaican-born British saxophonist Yolanda Brown, and Kamaal Williams from the British underground movement whose latest project is a concentrate of fusion-jazz. Two trios will also perform: Giulia Valle Trio, representing contemporary Spanish jazz, and Esja by Austrian pianist Jörg Leichtfried, who is a jazz musician with varied musical influences.
